Alternative Milk Magazine is an independent biannual online art and literary magazine.

Alt Milk was created because we wanted to create a space to uplift other writers and artists. We want to give you that first publication (or nth publication) joy. 

AltMilk prioritizes inclusion and elevation of the work of marginalized voices. 

We want your best work - your most gorgeous, nostalgic, ruthless, relatable, sardonic, lush, and bruising work.

We won’t charge you 75 cents for a splash (looking at you, SBUX) meaning our magazine will always be free to view, no subscription needed, and we don’t charge submission fees.
